Can the vacuum pump replace the air compressor?

Vacuum pumps cannot replace air compressors, because vacuum pumps are used to obtain vacuum, while air compressors work at high pressure. The two are completely different.
The arrangement structure of the pump body of the vacuum pump determines the overall structure of the pump. The intake and exhaust ports of the vertical structure are arranged horizontally, making it easier to assemble and connect the pipelines. However, the pump has a high center of gravity and poor stability during high-speed operation, so this type is mostly used for small pumps.
The intake port of the horizontal pump is on the top, and the exhaust port is on the bottom. Sometimes in order to facilitate the installation and connection of the vacuum system pipes, the exhaust port can be connected from the horizontal direction, that is, the inlet and exhaust directions are perpendicular to each other.
At this time, the exhaust port can be opened from both left and right directions. Except for one end of the exhaust pipe, the other end is blocked or connected to a bypass valve. The pump structure has a low center of gravity and good stability during high-speed operation. Generally, large and medium-sized pumps adopt this structure.
The two rotor shafts of the pump are installed perpendicular to the horizontal plane. The assembly gap of this structure is easy to control, the rotor is easy to assemble, and the pump occupies a small area. However, the pump has a high center of gravity and inconvenient disassembly and assembly of gears, and the lubrication mechanism is relatively complicated.
Note for vacuum pump installation:
⑴The vacuum pump should be installed in a place with a solid ground, and there should be sufficient room around it to facilitate inspection, maintenance and maintenance.
⑵The foundation should be kept level under the base of the vacuum pump. It is recommended that the four corners of the base be filled with shock-absorbing rubber or installed with bolts to ensure smooth operation of the vacuum pump and low vibration.
⑶The connecting pipe between the vacuum pump and the system should be sealed and reliable. For small vacuum pumps, metal pipes can be used to connect the gasket and oil-resistant rubber. For small vacuum pumps, vacuum hoses can be used for connection. And less elbow. (When welding the pipeline, the welding slag in the pipeline should be removed, and it is strictly forbidden to enter the vacuum pump cavity.)
⑷In the connecting pipeline, the user can install a valve and a vacuum gauge above the air inlet of the vacuum pump to check the ultimate pressure of the vacuum pump at any time.
⑸Connect the power supply according to the motor label, and install the grounding wire and the fuse and thermal relay of appropriate specifications.
⑹When the vacuum pump is energized for trial operation, the motor belt must be removed and the vacuum pump can be put into use after confirming that the rotation of the vacuum pump is in accordance with the specified direction to prevent the vacuum pump from reversing and spraying. ⑺ For the vacuum pump with cooling water, connect the cooling water according to the regulations.
⑻When a solenoid valve is installed at the vacuum pump port, the valve and the vacuum pump should operate at the same time.
